TRACTOR OF THE YEAR
  • Rules of the TRACTOR OF THE YEAR® - 2010 Edition

  • This edition was led in accordance with the following rules:

    ‘The jury will consider tractors of any power meeting the following regulations:

    a) in production by September 15th, 2009. A statement of the manufacturer is enough.

    b) not awarded a prize in the previous editions.

    Each jury member will propose his choice of tractors.
    The tractors with the best score - in each of the categories (open field and specialized) - will be included in the list of the nominees.
    Before including each tractor in the final shortlist of the nominees, the jury members must have had the opportunity to evaluate it under field conditions.
    Deadline for the evaluation is October 10th, 2009.
    The shortlist will include a maximum of seven tractors for each category.

    The 2010 Edition of the 'Tractor of the year®' will assign the following awards:

    - Tractor of the year to the tractor reaching the highest score
    - Best of specialized, for specialized tractors (orchard, vineyard)
    - Golden tractor for the design

    Applications to the 'Tractor of the year®' awards are free.

    The secretariat will inform on time the manufacturers of the choice of finalists. At the same time the secretariat will ask to fill  a ‘specs sheet’ and send (as optional) to the jury members leaflets and data sheets of the technical features. .
    The jury will vote taking in consideration the following features: engine, transmission, standard on board electronics, hydraulics, cab comfort, innovative technical features, design, hp/price ratio, optionals.

    Winners will be entitled to use, for free, the 'Tractor of the year®', 'Best of specialized', 'Golden tractor for the design' logos for year 2010.
